Mile by Owner is a car-buying guide built from what owners actually say — 1,644 attributed owner quotes and community evidence across 64 brands and 250 vehicles: EVs, hybrids, and ICE, across the US, EU, and China.

It is for buyers who want the ownership truth before the purchase, not the launch-week story. It is not a press-release aggregator, a spec-sheet database, or a dealership lead funnel.

How we work

Verdict first, evidence after. Numbers over adjectives. When the research could not verify something, we say UNVERIFIED out loud instead of rounding it into a fact. Owners talk; we quote — we did not drive these cars, they did. And we name the trap: the model year to skip, stated plainly.

Evidence tiers

Every vehicle carries an evidence tier. Tier 1 means deep, active owner communities with documented issues. Tier 3 means thin evidence — read those reviews as provisional.

Money
